Go Back To The Fifties with Good 'n' Country
June 20, 2007
Put the top down, turn the radio on. turn back the clock and join Good 'n' Country this Saturday, June 23 at 1 p.m. for two solid hours of country radio hits of the 1950s -- back when country was spelled C-O-U-N-T-R-Y. Twang-addled musicologist Dick Himes sits in for Ken Hippler this week, as Good 'n' Country revisits its annual Back To The Fifties theme show, which is always broadcast during the the Minnesota Street Rod Association's similarly titled rod'n'custom car show at the State Fairgrounds.
This year's program will feature two hours of the hits that anchored Billboard's country charts throughout the 1950s.
Make sure you tune in Good 'n' Country's Back To The Fifties special, this Saturday, June 23 at 1 p.m. And if you're riding around during the broadcast, don't forget to roll the windows down and turn 'er up!
Today's safety tip: Loud pipes -- AND LOUDER RADIOS -- save lives!
