Queen of Comedy Lily Tomlin on Fresh Fruit May 31

Pride Month Kick-Off Special -Tune into Fresh Fruit Thursday, May 31 from 7 pm to 8 pm for an On Air phone interview with special guest Lily Tomlin.

Lily Tomlin, one of America's foremost comediennes, continues to venture across an ever-widening range of media, starring in television, theater, motion pictures, animation, and video. Tomlin has received numerous awards, was honored as the 2003 recipient of the prestigious Mark Twain Prize for American Humor in Washington DC, continues to make appearances around the nation and has taken her classic characters to Australia for shows in Sydney and Melbourne. A collaboration between Lily Tomlin, Jane Wagner, Allee Willis and the zany and creative BUBBLES the artist has produced the magical Lily Tomlin Website.

The Minnesota Orchestra hosts An Evening with Lily Tomlin at Orchestra Hall on June 21 & 22 at 8 pm. The June 21 performance is a Benefit for Rainbow Families. The program will include appearances by over a dozen of Tomlin's classic characters.

Also on tonight’s show Fresh Fruit’s own Leigh Combs, John Townsend and Norman Strizek for a Pride Month Roundtable. Plus a Fresh Fruit evening of music written and performed by queer musicians.
