World Saxophone Quartet on KFAI, Live, Saturday, March 10th at 7:00 p.m.

KFAI will present a broadcast of the World Saxophone Quartet’s performance of Jimi Hendrix’s music live from the Walker Art Center on Saturday, March 10th from 7-9PM. This venerable quartet features David Murray, Oliver Lake and Hamiet Bluiett on saxophones, acclaimed special guest Greg Osby on guitar, joined by the celebrated Jamaaladeen Tacumba on bass and Lee Pearson on drums.The World Saxophone Quartet approaches Hendrix’s music with both “reverence and a sense of adventure” (Jazz Times), qualifying this as an evening of unforgettable jazz.
