Less than a year after becoming a KFAI volunteer, and only a few months after board certification, I was called by the Program Director and asked if I could substitute on the Wednesday overnight slot for awhile. On Friday at midnight, True Brit!:node/28990 will showcase an enormous collection of songs featuring whistling. From Roger Whittaker to Whistling Jack Smith, from Bryan Ferry to Peter Murphy, from XTC to the Fratellis, all of them have at one point recorded themselves whistling a cheery tune, and thus have allowed us, the listeners, to share in the magic moment.

Another two-fer: TWO bands for the price of NONE. First: He’s ba-a-a-a-ck! Nolan James is one GREAT original acoustic instrumental guitarist. At the age of 24 he has been playing guitar for over 10 years. His music has been his passion and primary focus for the majority of that time, and it shows. He is a virtuoso who will challenge everything you thought you knew about how a guitar should sound.
