Tune in Tuesday, February 15th for Womenfolk’s:womenfolk annual Black History Month special Oh Freedom! It will feature new and classic folk, gospel and blues songs by your favorite African American female vocalists, including Odetta, Carolina Chocolate Drops, Cassandra Wilson, Elizabeth Cotten, Mavis Staples and local artist Chastity Brown.

This Sunday, November 2nd Womenfolk presents Mila Vocal Ensemble in concert at Gethsemane Church as part of KFAI’s monthly concert series.

Tune in to Womenfolk on Tuesday, August 31st for an exclusive preview of the new concert series at the Aster Cafe: We’ll talk with Elli Rader, the mastermind behind the new series, and we’ll feature some of the artists that will be playing there this fall. Country singer Joanna Jahn: will even stop by to play live for us.

Tune in this Sunday 11 am-1 pm, as we take a virtual road trip on Womenfolk, playing your favorite driving songs as we fuel up and hit the road toward our Fall Pledge Drive destination—$100,000. Tuesday morning DJ Pam will join Ellen to spin tunes, tell stories of the road and take your pledges.
