Another two-fer: TWO bands for the price of NONE. First: He’s ba-a-a-a-ck! Nolan James is one GREAT original acoustic instrumental guitarist. At the age of 24 he has been playing guitar for over 10 years. His music has been his passion and primary focus for the majority of that time, and it shows. He is a virtuoso who will challenge everything you thought you knew about how a guitar should sound.

Live on Studio Five! (Wednesday night at 10pm) presents the Americana band Farewell Milwaukee. All of the members of Farewell Milwaukee have been involved in various music projects throughout the years but finally know that this is the one they have been waiting for.

This Wednesday night at 10pm we welcome back The 99ers. They’ve been very busy lately and have some new music to offer. The next night they will be opening for The Los Straitjackets at the Turf Club.

This week on “Live From Studio 5!” we feature TWO bands for the price of NONE: First up, Alicia Wiley referred to as a “brooding and enigmatic local songwriter”, promoting the release of her newest album, Both Sides. Her CD release show is at First Avenue 7th Street Entry the next night.

Tonight we’re gonna ROCK the house with two bands for the price of none! We’ll start off with Phantom Tails described as solid, bone-rattling, hair-tossing, fist-pumping, whole-body-jamming rock ‘n’ roll followed by the Sex Rays.
KFAI DJ Cyn Collins gives the Sex Rays a ringing endorsement: The Sex Rays are cool, in a ’60s/‘70s way, she says.

This Wednesday night on “Live From Studio 5!” we present local alternative/folk-rock stalwart Barry Thomas Goldberg who has made a name for himself among the current generation as an outspoken, fearless political commentator and a musician who can adapt to a bevy of different styles, but he has, in fact, been playing and writing his original brand of protest songs for over four decades.

On July 3, 2009, Across the Board:acrosstheboard will air an interview with pop star, Tiffany:http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tiffany, from the June 28 Saloon Pride Block Party.

This weeks True Brit! will feature MN singer songwriter, Tim Cheesebrow!

On August 24, 2007, singer-songwriters Todd Newman and Lori Wray made a return appearance on Radio Rumpus Room.

Jackson Buck will interview affable maverick singer/songwriter Todd Snider on Freewheelin’, Monday February 18th.
