Musician, songwriter, producer, and former high school English teacher Kevin Steinman: comes to KFAI Monday, June 27th, with handfuls of songs for your ears from 11am – 12pm.

This week at midnight on Friday, True Brit! will be talking to Mark Freiseis who brings stories and music of over 40 years of concerts, record collecting and playing in local bands to the airwaves. Join us? Please.

On this week’s flamenco webcast, Poquito y Bueno, host Kristina de Sacramento reached into the archives for an homage to our local treasure, flamenco singer María Elena La Cordobesa. The show features an part of an interview with the late La Cordobesa, and Kristina plays lush and haunting highlights from several flamenco masses.

On this Friday night’s True Brit! host Simon Husbands will be chatting to singer songwriter, Katy Vernon, as she tells us about her New Romantic days and ways, as well as performing some live music in the studio.

Katy grew up in London, England. She started writing songs when she
was 12.

Radio Pocho is excited to have chicana rock group Girl in a Coma with us on WEDNESDAY JUNE 1st. They’ll be taking a break from their tour to give us a call and let us know what they’re up to. The San Antonio based band will be making a stop in Minneapolis to perform at the Varsity Theater this Friday June 3rd.
