Singer/songwriter Tret Fure’s career spans 4 decades. She has performed with Spencer Davis & Cris Williamson, recorded with the late Lowell George of Little Feat as her producer, and opened for such bands as Yes, Poco, and the J Geils Band. She is a multi award winning singer/songwriter in Women’s and LGBT music. Tret will be performing her CD release tour “A Piece of the Sky”, Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, 8pm, at the Ginko Coffeehouse in St. Paul.

As recently as the 1950s, the Twin Cities had a working network of streetcars. Commercial corridors like Central Avenue grew up around these lines. Now Minneapolis is looking at reestablishing streetcar lines. A proposal for one line, along Nicollet and Central avenues, is receiving public comment in a series of open houses.
