Today we listened to Anatolian Village Music from Turkey (Gallo), a classical tune from Uzbekistan (Ocora), a Turkish Sufi song from Ali Ekbar Cicek (Lyrichord), the ancient shamanic viol of Kazakhistan (Inedit), a Hungarian song from Kiss Tamas (Gryllus), a Bulerias from Flamenco giants, Fernanda and Bernarda Utrera (Ocora), Turkish mystic singer Asik Veysel, Ooley Mint Amartichitt of Mauritania (Long Distance), and music from the Turkish Alevi Sufis (Ocora).

In the second hour we heard from the hot Tuareg band, Tinariwen ((World Village), again from Ooley Mint Amartichitt of Mauritania (Long Distance), a song from the women Bakhshis of Turkmenistan (Inedit), music from Finland from Timo Alakotila, Arto Jarvela, and Hans Kennenmark – The Nordic Tree, Saxophone music from the South Indian Maestro, Kadri Gopalnath (Globe Style), Tango giant, Astor Piazzolla (Just a Memory), music from Brittany with Bagad Kemperle (Auvidis/Ethnic), music from the great Dick Gaughan (Topic), our local friends, Clairseach -Charlie and Ann Heyman (live recording), and the Welsh group ffynnon (Green linnet)
