We begin with an energetic reading and interview with Marsha Wilson Chall. Marsha Wilson Chall is the author of a children’s chapter book and a number of picture books, several of which feature Midwest experiences, including Up North at the Cabin, Bonaparte, and Happy Birthday, America!. (Her books have received numerous awards, including an International Reading Association Teacher’s Choice Award.) She also teaches in the MFA program in Writing for Children and Young Adults at Hamline University.
In the second half, N.M. Kelby joins us to talk about two upcoming books, a collection of short stories called A Travel Guide for Reckless Hearts and The Constant Art of Being a Writer: The Life, Art, and Business of Fiction.
