Tonight's program starts with well-known artists from the past, but in the second half of the show, we will feature new works and new artists.  This new music comes to us from RFI, Radio France Internale and showcases the latest albums out.

 

We speak with Jess Walter, whose newest novel is Beautiful Ruins, which Kirkus Reviews described as "A brilliant, madcap meditation on fate … Walter’s prose is a joy—funny, brash, witty and rich with ironic twists.

Bangla fusion in Twin Cities music scene

Joy Islam, Tushar Ahmmed and Palbasha Siddique are three impassioned Bangladeshi musicians who have made Minnesota their home. Fusing Bangla musical roots with other genres including folk, classical, heavy metal, and pop, they’ve made an indelible mark in the Twin Cities. KFAI producer MJ Gilmore talks to Joy, Tushar and Palbasha about how their personal journeys have influenced and affected their music.
