This is the D Day program, or in French, le Jour J. Special guest, Louise Dillery, who was living in Paris, recalls her life at the time of the Allied Invasion of Normandy, June 6, 1944 and during the liberation of Paris, August 24. Olaf Pfannkuch brings historic songs of the time.
Students from Opportunity High School in Minneapolis share their creativity and thoughts about being from East Africa and living and learning in America. Participating in the show are Amal Abdi, Lina Abda, Sudi Abdirahman, Alia Abshir, Hani Abdullahi, Yasin Abdullahi, Abdikarim, Ali, Omar Arab, Abdiweli Dirie, Said Farah, Zak Geylani, Abdinajib Hassan, Ali Hassan, Asha Ibrahim, Mahad Kodah and Ravi Raghubir, along with teachers Ms. Joanne and Mr. Andrew.
