On Tuesday, October 12th, famed cyberpunk writer William Gibson joins us his newest novel, Zero History. William Gibson is also the author of Neuromancer, which served as the foundation for the Matrix movies, Mona Lisa Overdrive, and Johnny Mnemonic, among others.
We also talk with children’s author Penny Noyce about her book Lost in Lexicon. Penny Noyce is a physician, educator, and writer. She grew up in Silicon Valley, as the daughter of Robert Noyce, co-inventor of the integrated circuit (computer chip) and one of the founders of Intel. She worked in a community health center, but after 1990 she split her time between medical practice and the Noyce Foundation, becoming a leader in mathematics and science education reform in Massachusetts. Lost in Lexicon, her first book for children, was written for her son’s ninth birthday.
