The celebration of Black History Month continues with music from African American performers Dexter Gordon, Grover Washington, Betty Carter and McCoy Tyner. Kurt Elling delivers vocal renditions of each of these composer’s work to complete tonight’s program.

KFAI celebrated Black History Month with a special day of programming on February 19th. From 6am until 9pm, KFAI featured a variety of programming including music, history, and dialogue from members of the Twin Cities community and from respected national sources. Normal Write on Radio programming resumes the following week.
