10/27 in a nutshell…
We here at the RSST would be pleased as Skalloween punch to debut our new Mutant Frogs bumper, Ghost from the Future, on this week’s Rocket Ship, were it not for the fact that Cozy, in the person of d.j. babyswiss, did the honors the previous night on Echo Chamber instead! Hey, we don’t mind_ a newly-hatched Froggie is a newly-hatched Froggie no matter where the thing airs first, and as far as we’re concerned, you heard it first RIGHT HERE on KFAI, including as part of the Mutant Frogs mixjam that was this week’s 4(+2)@4. Gary Crosby’s Jazz Jamaica All Stars big band (30 pieces!) gave us our GotchaSKAvered Ball of Fire finale, a certain Count Slapbackula Unauthorized, Slightly Extended Cave Mix got onto Sherwood’s Planet (where it’s been before), and in the first hour, dig the cannibal kids stalking Santa Claus in Candy Man …not the Sammy number, we guaran-durn-tee ya! Neil Ska-daka welcomed y’all aboard the Rocket Ship to launch the whole flight into orbit Doing The Jellyfish, which resembles The Ska, by the way!
