Tonight we had the great pleasure to feature the new Echo Chamber – Around the World In Dub – Vol. 1 & 2 album! That’s right…the first Echo Chamber album was officially released on Bandcamp.com on July 5th. On the program tonight we played the entire Volume 2 of this compilation album, featuring: Kukan Dub Lagan, Celt Islam feat. Dawoud Kringle, Ratapignata (Arrogalla Remix), Volfoniq, Bandulu Dub, Copia Doble Systema feat. Catar Sys, Dub For Light, Dubzoic, AB2G, Dub Majestic, Zion Dirty Sound (feat. Sista Raphaelle), Trevor The Technician McKenzie, and Mutant Frogs. But, before getting to the Echo Chamber album, we kicked things off with 2 fine new compilations on Green Queen Music: “Reggae & Dubs” and “Club Nights”.

We speak with Karen Thompson Walker, author of The Age of Miracles, who graduated from the Columbia MFA program. She is a recvipient of the 2011 Sirenland Fellowship and is a former editor at Simon and Schuster. Publishers Weekly, Kirkus Reviews and Library Journal all gave The Age of Miracles starred reviews. The novel depicts what might happen should the Earth's rotation begin to slow.

Had the day off. No play list.
