Judith Koll Healey is in the studio in the first half to talk about her novel, The Rebel Princess. It’s the second installment of her mystery series involving a 13th century French princess, Alais Capet. The first novel in the series is The Canterbury Papers.

In the second half of the show, playwright Maryann Lesert discusses her debut novel, Base Ten, the story of a promising young astronomer whose goal is to become an astronaut. Base Ten inaugurates a new series of books published by The Feminist Press and funded by the National Science Foundation called Women Writing Science, which confronts the challenges facing women in the sciences.
