We also heard something new from Air Traffic and some Mardi Gras music this morning.

Ann Alquist, former KFAI news director, called in from Berlin, Germany, with her take on what the German citizens think of the US’ presidential politics.
Today we began with dutar music from the Uyghers of China (Chinese Label), then we had guest with live music, Aida Shahghasemi on daf and vocals, and Amirhossein Kiani on Tar and vocals. The hour was finished off with music by Iraqi, Amir el Safir (Safaafir).
During the second hour we heard music from two of flamenco’s greats, Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera of Spain (Ocora). We then had music and conversation with local musicians Greg Herriges on guitar and bouzouki, and percussionist Troy Berg.
