Since today’s show fell on New Year’s Eve, we did an all star salute to the great hillbilly poet Hank Williams. This marked the 59th anniversary of his passing (he died either on December 31st, 1952 or January 1st 1953-depending on which account you read). While today’s lame and boring cookie cutter country stations have all but forgotten ol’ Hank, we will always have room for Hank Williams on Good and Country-still the twin cities ONLYchoice for REALcountry music!
Thanks to Alex Dalton and Kailyn Spencer, a.k.a. The Hooks & The Hollows, for appearing on the show today. Former members of A Night In The Box, the duo will be opening for The Brass Kings this Friday night at The Nomad.
New releases this week included Nick Moss, a live release by the late Sean Costello, The Bad Companions, Charlie Parr with Nick “The Feelin’” Mrozinski, and the most recent from Crankshaft.

Here’s wishing you a happy holiday season (what remains of it) and may 2012 be the best year of your life. I’d like to thank all of you for listening to me for all these years. Peace to all of you.
The final Echo Chamber of 2011…
Ready to usher in a brand New Year. And quite a fun way to go out… A few new items; some Christmas leftovers; and around half a dozen renditions of “Auld Lang Syne”, including the sublime Ghetto Priest version.
I subbed for Ellen Stanley today, so I got to do a FOURHOUR show which combined Women Folk with Rollin’ & Tumblin’. I promptly filled the extra time with party music for the coming New Year’s Eve 2012 Weekend. See Play List Below.
