Karl starts with Reggae influenced tracks and moves into a bunch of Jeffery Broussard and Zydeco Force in honor of Jeffery coming north last week and playing the Blues Saloon. Then we play the long lost Marce Lacoutoure CD and some Nouveau String Band. Then it’s some fine Cajun and then into mini sets by Clifton Chenier and Boozoo Chavis, a little honly tonkin’ Cajun and we finish up with a little Gospel.

Another night filled with a bunch of new dub… Starting off with the new Bandulu Dub remix album “Volcanic Eruptions” (on Dan Dada Records), Sardinia Bass Legalize’s new “Timeline” EP (aquietbump), and the very cool “Marijuana Dreams” from Dubblestandart (Echo Beach).

Today was a VERY secial show. I was joined by Sweet Foot, Marni Hockenberg, a blues fan who won Rollin Tumblin in a fundraising raffle. She got the chance to come on the air with me and guest host for the entire two hours. She brought in her own music, which was funky, fine and fabulous. Sweet Foot and I talked about the music, the musicians and the the blues clubs. All the while we danced around the studio and generally acted like the Wild Blues Women we were! The first part of the playlist below reflects Sweet Foot’s contribution to today’s show.
