Special Pledge Drive show – interviewed Legs McNeil, author “Please Kill Me: Oral History of Punk Rock” and fe: guests Doug Anderson and Sprague Hollander the 1st hour. 2nd hour hosted Danny Sigelman, of Secret Stash Records, and DJ/Musician/Journalist.

Pam Hill and Terry Carter provided the morning music and news updates, respectively, this October morning. We featured a piece by Susan Gray on the Riverside Plaza complex in Minneapolis and the second installment of the Dakota War series. Among the music we heard was new music from Ozomatli from their kids album (!), Ellis from the compilation "We Love to Be Free: Songs in Support of the Freedom to Marry" addressing a timely subject and we discussed what the lyrics to Echo & the Bunnymen's "Do It Clean" could possibly mean.

During the second hour we Dakota Dave Hull talking and playing a few tunes live.

   This was our one (and only) pledge drive show for this fall due to the drive lasting one week this time (as an experiment). I want to thank Ron Gerber (Crap From The Past 10:30PM-midnight Fridays) and Eve Macleish (Corazon Latino noon-2PM Tuesdays) for their enthusiasm and energy as rap partners. many thanks to our many phone volunteers, producers, food donors and most of all—listeners like YOU who supported KFAI during this drive.
