What a full show of new releases, roots classics, and an excellent summer guest mix. Tonight we debuted the latest Easy Star All-Stars project: Easy Star’s Thrillah, which is of course Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” reimagined with a rootical reggae groove. Another debut tonight was the first single from Snoop Lion (AKA Snoop Dogg). On top of that we had new releases from Full Dub, Citizen Sound (ft. Ammoye), Mista Majah P, Dub Rifles, Sammy Gold, DJ Zdena vs. The Temptations, Doktor Lond (ft. Agarfa), Dub Colossus, YT, and the new Culture retrospective on VP Records. Tonight’s guest mix was put together by the dubmeister Haji Mike for our pal TurnTableTerrorist (Terry C) at “Echo Beach”, WLUW-FM (Chicago).
