Today we heard music Mali Kora Master, Toumani Diabate (Hannibal), Alemu Aga, master of the Ethiopian Harp of David (Long Distance), music from Iran by local musicians, Aida Shahghasami and Amir-Hossein Kiani. We also had in studio guest Micheal Sommers of Open Eye Figure Theatre, with music by Teodor Anzellotti on accordion with music of Janecek (Winter and Winter), We also listened to music by Touareg musicians, Tinariwen (live), music from Ethiopian Krar master, Seleshe Damessae (Music of the World), music by Tim O’Brien (Howdy Skies), music from Dama and D’Gary (Shanachie} and music from locals, the Mill City Grinders (live recording).
