Today, we included a tribute set to the late Ramona Jones, who passed away November 17th at age 91. She was the widow of Louis Marshall "Grandpa" Jones and a talented multi-instrumental entertainer in her own right. After Mr. Jones' death in 1998, she remained musically active and was very popular in the bluegrass community. We also saluted Country Music Hall Of Famer Jean Shepard who celebrated a birthday and marked 60 years on the Grand Ole Opry.
A delightful set of poor vinyl quality Brazillian records from the 1950's started this show off. Some of this music sounds like it could have been played in the best elevators and dental offices in Rio De Janeiro. Great stuff with amazing album covers. The middle part of the show was a set of Spanish language SKA tunes from Spain and South & Central America.
