As i sit here at 4am cultivating Kidney stones – drinking wine munching on cheese puffs…. I think – what a crazy day that wound up well.

thanks so much to the jug-punk-folk band Cartright for coming in to the station and doing an impromt-to interview. They were wonderful and really the next big band coming.. Don’t believe me? then check it out for yourself!

Thanks much to guests this morning, Brianna Lane:http://www.briannalanemusic.com, and Cahalen David Morrison:http://www.myspace.com/cahalen, who together perform as The Harbor Collective:http://www.myspace.com/harborcollective. They made beautiful music together live from 7:30am – 8:30am, before they embarked on a tour that will take them from the midwest to the southwest. They’ll work together up here again, so if you missed seeing the live, you’ll have more chances. Other new music we heard this morning included Punch Brothers, Mayda, and Amadou Mariam, who are headed out on a US tour of their own which will have them at Bonnaroo in June and opening for Coldplay (!) in July.

They tool around town in their big Grand Prixs
Sitting in their bucket seats shootin’ the breeze
You know that all week long they put up jam and preserves
But on the weekends they negotiate curves
