4/24/2008 The Rockhouse

The first thing you will notice about today’s show is the marked increase in minutes devoted to music. It’s our way of saying thank you to all the Residents for their great support during pledge drive over the last two weeks. Thank you!!!

The Tone Patrol is out in force as we mark the birthdays of JB Hutto, Johnny Shines, and Albert King. Also, Brother Tad pulls his first early shift in almost 2 months. Definitely worth getting up early!

4/22/2008 Rollin' and Tumblin'

This show is full of homegrown music(11 out of 32 tunes). Probably influenced by my weekend listening to local acts. Friday night, April 18th, I went to hear Big Walter Smith The Groove Merchants at Famous Dave’s and on Sun the 20th, I had a great time listening to the smooth male blues at Dean’s in St. Paul.

4/21/2008 Bop Street

Thanks to my guest DJ for the day, Jon Rodine, for bringing such great music with him. We mixed it up, some selections by him, some by me….I hope you enjoyed the show.
