World Music

The whole first hour of this program is in observance of the 100th anniversary of the beginning of the Mexican Revolution. It presents some of the best known “corridos” (ballads) that chronicled the Revolution and have kept alive and vibrant not only the memory of its most important events but also that of the men and women who were part of them. Jorge Gómez, from “Tiempo Libre” is the guest in the third ½ hour. The literature segment is a dramatized version of a few excerpts of chapters XVI and XVII of “Don Quijote de la Mancha”.
