Michael Rossetto and Nicholas Lemme of Spaghetti Western String Company:http://www.spaghettiwesternmusic.com joined us this morning at around 7:30 for an hour-long preview of their new record, Lull and Clatter, and a chance to hear other artists they enjoy. We also heard something new from Air Traffic and some Mardi Gras music this morning.

Today we began with dutar music from the Uyghers of China (Chinese Label), then we had guest with live music, Aida Shahghasemi on daf and vocals, and Amirhossein Kiani on Tar and vocals. The hour was finished off with music by Iraqi, Amir el Safir (Safaafir).

During the second hour we heard music from two of flamenco’s greats, Fernanda and Bernarda de Utrera of Spain (Ocora). We then had music and conversation with local musicians Greg Herriges on guitar and bouzouki, and percussionist Troy Berg.
