Whats better than Barbados…? New music from Miami based Night Raptor ( https://nightraptor.bandcamp.com/releases ). The show premieres a tune off Night Raptors forth coming EP due out March 31.  Also, music from Aretha Franklin, Kenny Loggins, Silverhawk, Marvel 83, Missing Words, The TCR and much more.  Blending old and new bringing 80s and nostalgia to the airwaves through a journey in sound.

Today I had two guests. Twin Cities vocalist Katia Cardenas joined me in the studio to talk about her Sunday Evening matinee performance at the Icehouse Sunday night. Later in the show NYC-based vocalist (and native of Minnesota), called in to talk about her Wednesday Night gig at the Dunsmore Room. In a slight turn from usual programming, I played Chuck Berry's Sweet Little Sixteen, as done at the Newport Jazz Festival in 1958, along with a usual mix of music from Sonny Philips, Larry Willis, The Bad Plus, David Sanborn, and the Christian McBride Trio.
