My guests and I were laughing so much and having so much fun I forgot to keep a list. Especially after Big John and Ronn sang acapella/live in the studio, I lost track of what I was doing.

August is Abbey Lincoln Month on the Collective Eye. Born August 6, 1930, Ms. Lincoln has created a jazz lexicon of vocalization and it is astounding how few people are aware of her recordings. Tonight’s program also pays homage to another formative musician, Mr. Issac Hayes, whose untimely demise earlier this week rocked the RB world. Walk Good Mr. Hayes!
