“And when I die, and when I’m dead, dead and gone, there will be one more crate of records to carry on == up the stairs… to the car… to the studio…and on the air!”

1/26 in a nutshell…
Skeatles! Ska Beatles covers by ARTS, Ringo Ska, The Brass Circus and the Clarendonians made up the 4(+1)-in-a-row, followed by the GotchaSKAllipop, this time by a Swedish outfit called Flamingo Kvintetten, with their 1970 take Lilla Raringen… SvenSKA, indeed! Sherwood dropped another Buzzz cut by Tipsy into his mix, and made time flow slowly with substantial help from Serani Poji. Dave Pike had the feelin’ with Spooky, and … oooooh, how Blue is that Beat at the top of the Opening Oldies Hour? We get three answers… from Chris Farlowe, Rita Hovink, and Joe Meek’s Tornados, in that order!

The Return of Wain McFarlane & Friends in Another Configuration of Jahz.

All I can say is Wain McFarlane is truly a talented musical genius! Listen to this show and don't forget, this group has never played together before. Every number was done on the fly orchestrated by Maestro McFarlane.

Today’s show starts off celebrating the contribution Antonio Carlos Jobim (Brasil) gave to the world – on the anniversary of his birth.
