RISE & FLY THURSDAY!! Isa 40.31 "But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary!"

Tonight as part of the KFAI fall pledge drive we revisited a theme we have not done in awhile: A Fistful of Dub: A Dread Western Special. The Echo Chamber headed out to the wild, wild west! The anchors of the show (and the two items that were the germ of the project) were Roots Control’s fantastic “Dread Western” album (on WordSound) and the Ennio Morricone soundtrack to the spaghetti western movie The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly. Tonight’s show was dreader than dread…with music by Prince Fatty & Mutant Hi-Fi, King Stitt, Yabass Yaba Radics, Kukan Dub Lagan, The Crystalites, Lee Scratch Perry, 10 Ft. Ganja Plant, Sly & Robbie, Colourbox, Dave & Ansel Collins, The Divine Sham, Up Bustle & Out!, Eric Blowtorch & the Welders, Prince Jazzbo, Tommy McCook, The Scofflaws, and many more…

DJs Ryan Bouchey and Patti Walsh joined Spin with Cyn, bringing favorite party punk and post-punk and funk for Spring Pledge Drive!

America's Only Detective: Nick Danger

Tonight we have two stories from the Casebook of Nick Danger, starting with Frame Me Pretty.  The Firesign Theatre's famous gumshoe, performed live at the Roxy on Sunset Blvd in 1979.
