Episode #423: “The Lettermen Complaint Letter and 6 minutes that will change your life.”

Summer concluding with a review of a few recent shows and a preview of fall highlights. Some comments on the 9/11 paradigm we still live under, as well.

Another crazy mix inna Echo Chamber… With The Selecter in town this week (at The Cedar), and Jimmy Cliff coming next week (to 1st Avenue), they had to be featured on tonight’s program. Also in town recently were those beautiful sister Les Nubians, so we played two by them too. And then we had a ton of new releases – including Mexican Stepper’s “The Mad Sunday EP” (on Dubophonic); Svaha Sound System’s “Roots & Branches”; Twin Cities’ own Black Market Brass; GadManDubs (dubbing Bob Marley); long-time dubmaster Trevor the Technician; Masia One & Sizzla Kalonji (with the “Freedom” anthem); Eljai; Attack Released & Joseph Cotton; MatDTSound; and Jahdan Blakkamoore/Illuminati Congo. Rounding out the crazy mix with The Etherealites, UB40, The Pinstripes, Wareika, Dub Syndicate, Komodo, Groove Corporation, Kukan Dub Lagan, Cabernet Deneuve, Clive Hunt & the Dub Dancers, Naaman, and more…

The Will of the Woods, Part 2 – An original and new fantasy tale from Belgium. Myrilia has gone out into the woods to find her friend, Nuzwick, who went through a gate in the woods. She and her mentor, Saffredon, confront a “monster” in the Infinite Woods.
