3/19/2014 ECHO CHAMBER

Knocking down the house with dub….tons of dub. First up was the heavy new “Rootsstep to the World Vol. 18” from Don Goliath. This was followed by Adam Prescott’s excellent “The Mystic EP” (on MindStep); the Horace Andy re-release “Get Wise” (Pressure Sounds); Luciano with the Mad Professor on “Deliverance”; Ashley’s latest rootical dub “Babylon Institution” (on Dubkey); G-Corp meet Big Heartz “Grow EP”; Skarob’s self-titled release on Subatomic Sound; Sierra Leone Refugee All-Stars’ great new “Libation” (Cumbancha); and the hard to categorize “Static/In” release from Ash Is. Also tonight we played a chunk of the great mix “Stepping Between Reggae & Dub Vol. IV” from the Groove Thief, plus another early pre-Uhuru single from Michael Rose (courtesy of Eric “Blowtorch” Beaumont). On top of all this were more great tracks from Les Nubians, Marina P, Papa Sambor, Jennifer Paulos & Mystic Selekta, Daily Bread Dub, Dubchek, Cornerstone Dub, Blue King Brown, Ott, The Pietasters, Shigeto, and more…
