9/9/13: Matchmaking, Séamus Heaney, Leprechaun Bones
- For the whole month of September, the little town on Lisdoonvarna (lis-doon-var-na) in County Clare, Ireland hosts its Annual Matchmaking Festival to which men and women from all around Ireland and the world flock in search of marriage partners.
- Séamus Heaney (1939-2013) reads his translation of the poem An Bunnáin Buí.
- Leprechaun bones discovered in Ireland.
