Good 'N Country

We proudly feature traditional, classic, out of print and vintage country music-much of it not heard ANYWHERE else. We are also happy to present music from contemporary and emerging traditional country music artists and some local music as well. Please feel free to email your requests, comments and questions to vintagecountry@hotmail.com. Image courtesy of www.dougthethug.com.

Good’n‘Country listeners blew out all the stops during today’s pledge show, exceeding the program’s previous single-broadcast Pledge Drive record with 21 pledges called in and over $1,300 raised for KFAI. Guest hosts Jean Silverberg, Ron Thums and Jackson Buck were thrilled by a surprise visit by host Ken Hippler, who stopped by the studio to thank Good’n‘Country and Fresh Air supporters and assure us all that he would be back in the saddle next week, April 13. Remember that the 2013 Pledge Drive continues through next Friday and listeners can continue to contribute at www.kfai.org. Make sure you indicate your pledge is for Good’n‘Country when you do!

Ron and Jean sat in for Ken this week. Of course songs about truck driving, train derailments, North Korean nuclear threats and very many examples of questionable marriage practices followed. Probably better you just listen to the archive and judge for yourself. (BTW, only two more weeks till Mr. Hippler returns.)
