It's Pledge Drive time on KFAI! FRESH FRUIT is the longest running queer radio show in the country. No other radio show covers Queer and Gender issues in as diverse a fashion as Fresh Fruit. Please don’t take Fresh Fruit or KFAI for granted. In a time when: *LGBT people are still being verbally and physically bashed * LGBT children and teens are harassed, bullied and kicked out of their homes which drives many of them to suicide *LGBT civil liberties are incomplete and in some cases blatantly denied * Religious extremists and political conservatives create, teach and use hate-centered language and tactics towards and about queer people and their families- It is vitally important to have a radio program like Fresh Fruit.
