Rodney Crowell with Frankie Lee
Friday, August 9, 2013 - 8:00pm
KFAI is proud to sponsor Grammy-winning country and Americana singer-songwriter Rodney Crowell in an intimate concert at the Cedar Cultural Center, Friday, August 9, at 8:00 pm.
Producer. Singer. Songwriter. Performer. Rodney Crowell has had his hands in a lot of musical pies over the years. He is a Grammy Award-winning musician who is widely known for his contributions to the Americana and alt-country genres, and his songs have been recorded by the top names in American music.
Crowell's songs have been hits for Emmylou Harris, Jerry Reed, the Oak Ridge Boys, Crystal Gayle, Bob Seger, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He has recorded his songs for his own projects, and with stars such as Lucinda Williams, Norah Jones, Kris Kristofferson, Vince Gill, Lee Ann Womack, and Rosanne Cash.
An icon in multiple genres and decades of music, Rodney Crowell still has his hands in a multitude of projects, but his passion for performing across the world is unwavering.
Local alt-country singer/songwriter Frankie Lee opens.
