This festival recognizes the state butterfly of Minnesota and celebrates the beginning of its migration to Mexico. The festival is held at Lake Nokomis and is recognized as the only truly biligual Spanish-English event in Minnesota. Through music and cultural programming designed to engage the public in celebration of our beautiful monarch, children and adults will learn about its history and its importance in Minnesota and Mexico.
