Youth Activism in Africa - Panel Discussion & Performance by Fatoumata Diawara

Interested in Activism, International Development, and Entrepreneurship?! Come join Afrika! club in celebrating the success of five Africans doing incredible work on the continent.

In honor of Afrika! Week, Afrika!, Macalester College's African Cultural Organization, is sponsoring a panel discussion with Dalumuzi Mhlanga, Pichon Duplan, Nadir Bouhmouch, David Sengeh, and Malian musician and activist Fatoumata Diawara.
Ms. Diawara has collaborated with renowned author Nicholas Kristof to support the Half the Sky campaign: 30 Songs / 30 Days. She has performed at international music festivals, such as globalFest, spreading her support for peace initiatives in Northern Mali.

The event's theme is:
"A look at Africa’s Real Majority: Young People Addressing the Continent’s Challenges through Activism & Entrepreneurship"
