What exactly goes into producing a bottle of fine Burgundy wine? Join us on October 2 at 7 PM for an evening of food, wine and film at the Parkway Theater with a special screening of the 2012 documentary, A Year in Burgundy, by director David Kennard. The film follows seven wine-making families in Burgundy, France, throughout an entire year, with host Martine Saunier, a California-based wine importer. You will discover a story steeped in both the history of the Burgundy region and the legacy of the families who have cultivated there for generations.
A collaboration between Martine Saunier of Martine’s Wines, Grandpère Wines and South Lyndale Liquors, the event will feature a wine tasting with appetizers before the film. The event is limited to 200 guests, with tickets offered first to members of the South Lyndale Liquors Wine Club and remaining tickets available to Alliance Française members and the general public. Proceeds of the event will be donated to the Alliance Française Mpls/St Paul. Advance tickets are $20, or $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased at www.brownpapertickets.com.
