Speaker John Ellis Presents the 7th Annual Misel Family Lecture Series

Date:
Tuesday, September 18, 2012 - 7:00pm
Public Lecture by John Ellis (Kings College London, CERN) to be held at the McNamara Alumni Center at the University of MN-Twin Cities on September 18th at 7:00 P.M.
One of the most ambitious and largest scientific experiments ever, the Large Hadron Collider at CERN in Geneva tries to address the most fundamental questions of physics and the cosmos. It investigates the structure of matter, and tries to find new insights into the history and fate of our Universe. Thus it addresses the questions posed in Paul Gaugin's famous painting "Where do we come from? What are we? Where are we going?" This talk will review the prospects for finding the answers.
