The Rose Ensemble leads A Contemplative Medieval Evening Worship Service at Pilgrim Lutheran Church
Sunday, May 19, 2013 - 6:45pm
Have you ever wondered what tunes were prevalent in the church between the 7th and 15th centuries? Come and hear and sing some of this music, in this mostly musical vespers. The music will be taught to the worshipping community, and we will get to sing WITH the Rose Ensemble, a cappella.
This vespers service will be held at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, 1935 St. Clair Ave. in Saint Paul, and begins at 6:51 pm. For more information, please visit www.roseensemble.org or www.pilgrimstpaul.org or call 651-699-6886. This event is free and open to all.
Why 6:51 pm?: 651 A.D. was the year of death of St. Aidan of Lindisfarne, an early leader of the Celtic Christian movement and a saint remembered in the church’s commemoration calendar. 651 is also our St. Paul area code. We hope you find 6:51 pm to be a memorable starting time for Sunday night worship at Pilgrim.
