Westminster Presbyterian Church is excited to present a FREE concert of Cuban music, taking place Friday, September 14, 7:00pm featuring stunning jazz pianist Nachito Herrera, as well as El Coro Shalom of Havana, Cuba. This acclaimed choir is on a weeklong tour in Minnesota, and this will be their only performance in Minneapolis. Nachito Herrera is well-known in the Twin Cities, and is widely regarded as one of the world’s great Cuban pianists. “His jaw-dropping technique and the rich, powerful soulfulness of his playing blend in what is often an amazing display of musical power and emotion.” (Dakota Jazz Club & Restaurant). A free-will offering will be received. There will be an open reception to meet the choir and Nachito, featuring Cuban appetizers from Victor’s 1959 Cuban Cafe, at 5:30pm.
