JANEANE FROM DES MOINES
STARRING JANE EDITH WILSON, MITT ROMNEY & MICHELE BACHMANN
FILMMAKERS INVITE MICHELE BACHMANN TO OAKDALE SCREENING OF FILM FEATURING THE CONGRESSWOMAN
JANEANE FROM DES MOINES is like no other film you've ever seen. In the story, Janeane's life is falling apart. She is sick and she has no healthcare. Since she lives in Iowa she can go directly to the actual presidential candidates campaigning in her state and ask them what they would do to help her. And they have no answers. Janeane is active in her church and community and travels in circles that want to end marriage equality, stop illegal immigration, and defund planned Parenthood . However, the character of "Janeane" ends up interacting with real candidates like Bachmann, Romney, and Santorum. Michele Bachmann even buys a cup of coffee for "Janeane" and the filmmakers are inviting Ms. Bachmann to join us so they can repay the favor.
JANEANE FROM DES MOINES will be screening in Oakdale Minnesota on October 23. In order to guarantee the screening a minimum number of RSVPs need to made at the Tugg site by this Friday, 10/19. http://www.tugg.com/events/1896#.UH1-2Gl269p
Award Winning Director Grace Lee and actress Jane Edith Wilson (ER, Curb Your Enthusiasm and Seinfeld) invite Michele Bachmann and voters in her district to attend this special screening and Q&A to follow. JANEANE FROM DES MOINES is making a whirlwind tour throughout the swing states leading up to the 2012 elections. Lee, a Los Angeles-based filmmaker says, "We want to have a conversation with Minnesotans about their concerns. Representative Bachmann is featured in JANEANE FROM DESMOINES, so we are extending a special invitation to her.” If Bachmann attends, the filmmakers hope she will join the Q&A that follows the film and comment on the issues it raises including health care, gay and lesbian rights, jobs and voters.
