What else is going on at the event? Participate in “speed volunteering” activities and attend the Be the Change Awards Ceremony.
Past “speed Volunteering” activities have included decorating baby bibs for Crisis Nursery; recycling magazines into craft beads for Free Arts Minnesota; making fleece dog toys for Helping Paws; and creating flashcards for afterschool programs for Project for Pride in Living.
Be the Change awards will be given to volunteers who have shown exemplary service and commitment in the areas of: Youth and Education, Economy/Basic Needs, Health, and the Environment. Be the Change award winners will be announced at 1:00 pm at the Rotunda stage.
This is the premier volunteer event in the Twin Cities that showcases community involvement opportunities and initiates valuable connections with local nonprofits.
Why should I attend? If you are seeking volunteer opportunities as an individual, family, youth group or corporate group, you will be able to meet with dozens of staff people and volunteers who can assist you in finding the right volunteer engagement opportunity.
