Thursday, March 27, 2014 - 7:00pm
Greg Hewett, author most recently of DARKACRE (Coffee House Press, 2010), has been selected as the next resident in Coffee House Press’s Writers and Readers Library Residency Program.
A longtime professor of English at Carleton College in Northfield, MN, Greg will spend his residency exploring Quatrefoil's collection of GLBT-related materials, including contemporary and historical books, periodicals, film, and audio recordings. You can follow Greg's residency at chpinthestacks.tumblr.com.
The Quatrefoil Library is one of the country's oldest and largest lending libraries devoted exclusively to GLBT related materials. Incorporated in 1983, opened in 1986, and now located in the Spirit on Lake building on Lake Street, the Library has over 14,000 books, 500 different periodicals, 3,000 videos, newsletters, posters, travel guides, and many other interesting collections, such as scripts, comics, children's books CDs, Braille books and historical erotica, all GLBT-related.
On Thursday, March 27th at 7pm Greg will give a public presentation and read new work inspired by his time in the library.
