APPROVED FOR ADOPTION by Jung Henin, Rainbow World
Date:
Thursday, April 25, 2013 - 7:15pm

Join Rainbow World for a "Special Advance Screening" of APPROVED FOR ADOPTION.

APPROVED FOR ADOPTION chronicles the life of Jung, a 42-year old cartoonist according to his birth certificate, but he prefers to place his birth at the age of 5, when a policeman found him wandering alone on the streets of Seoul. One of over 200,000 adopted Koreans placed throughout the world, Jung decides to return to South Korea, for the first time, in order to breathe the air of his home country, tread the land of his ancestors and find traces of his biological mother. Expressed in the artist’s signature animated style, Jung’s emotional journey brings him closer to an inner peace, as he reconciles and accepts his inner, cultural diversities.
(NOTE: Film not appropriate for children 13 and under due to brief nudity and mature themes.)
