150 Years of Brazilian Music featuring Choro Borealis with DIBIGODE
Tuesday, July 2, 2013 - 7:30pm
Local trio Choro Borealis is teaming up with cutting-edge Brazilian experimentalists DIBIGODE on their first ever tour of the Midwest. The tour kicks off with a unique opportunity to experience a 150-year trajectory of Brazilian music--from one of the oldest Brazilian musical traditions to a very modern 21st century approach. In addition, dynamic local artist Kati Mae Duesler will be beginning a series of live performance art that will evolve during each show of the Dibigode tour; this will be a continuation of collaborative efforts made between visual and musical artists in Brazil. Brazilian drinks caipirinhas and guaraná will be available especially for this event; must be 21+.
