We enjoyed a visit from Brian Laidlaw this morning to talk about his new ep with The Family Trade, “Whiskey with Goliath.” Shoot—he told us there’s a story behind the name but we ran out of time to hear it! We talked about his love of words, his ode to a friend who drops malapropisms, and his upcoming very-cool-sounding project merging his love of Dylan with the industrial and cultural history of Hibbing (funded in part by a MN State Arts Board grant).
